HeightCalculator.run

Free 3D height comparison, side by side

See what a height difference looks like before you meet, draw a character lineup or share a comparison. Enter your own heights or choose from the library. HeightCalculator.run puts everyone on the same scale, with free PNG downloads and editable share links. No sign-up required.

Compare heights above

Look from the front, side or back

Drag a figure left or right to turn it. Use zoom for a closer look, fit the chart to see everyone, or switch to full screen.

Models illustrate the heights you enter. They do not recreate a person's face or body from their name.

Reading the chart

Who is taller, by how much, and how does it look?

A height comparison calculator combines the difference in numbers with a view of people standing together. Read the gap in the results, then use the shared scale to see its size.

One ground line, one scale

Everyone starts at the same ground line. A 180 cm figure is drawn proportionally taller than a 160 cm figure, even when you zoom the whole chart.

Choose who to compare against

The first entry is the baseline. Set another person as the baseline in the list to read everyone else's height difference relative to them.

Read height from the measurements

Use the numbers and vertical scale to judge height. Rotating a figure changes its view; its hairstyle and body shape are illustrative.

How it works

Make your first comparison in three steps

  1. 01

Add the people you want to compare

Enter a name and height, choose an adult or child figure, then add it to the chart. Or search for a celebrity, character or object in the library.

  2. 02

    Adjust the lineup

Select an entry to edit its height or colour. Change the baseline to focus on another person, then zoom or fit the chart until the whole comparison is easy to read.

  3. 03

Save an image or share the comparison

Preview and download a PNG, or copy a link or QR code so someone else can open the lineup and edit their own version.

A worked comparison

What does a 15 cm height difference look like?

Someone who is 185 cm is 15 cm taller than someone who is 170 cm: about 5.9 inches, or 1.09 times their height. The example shows both heights from the same ground line.

This is a scale illustration. For a comparison of your own, replace the example heights in the tool above. A real person's posture, hairstyle and footwear can affect how they look together.

Rotatable 3D figures

Choose adult or child models and use different colours to identify people in the lineup.

cm and feet–inches

Enter each height in the unit you know. Read the height gap in both systems without converting it yourself.

Pairs and group comparisons

Add up to 12 entries to one chart. Editable templates give you a starting point for couples, friends and families.

A searchable reference library

Add celebrities, fictional characters, animals, landmarks or everyday objects. Objects use schematic shapes; library heights are references to check against sources.

PNG with a background you choose

Choose light, dark or transparent in the preview. The image includes names, comparison results and HeightCalculator.run branding.

Links people can open and edit

Share a lineup by link or QR code. The recipient can adjust their own copy without creating an account.

Ways to use it

From a couple's height gap to a character lineup

Use measured heights for personal comparisons and source-checked references for creative work. The same chart can help answer different questions.

Couples, friends and family

See how two people or a group would stand together. Replace the sample names and heights with your own.

Fans and character creators

Compare yourself with a favourite athlete or arrange characters for a scene. Check the reference's source or story version before using it in a published work.

Explaining size and scale

Place an animal, landmark or familiar object beside a person to explain scale. These illustrations are not engineering measurements.

Posts, lessons and presentations

Use a PNG when you need a fixed picture. Share an editable link when the other person needs to change the comparison.

A useful comparison starts with reliable heights

Measure people under similar conditions: shoes off, standing straight and at a similar time of day. The chart displays what you enter; it cannot correct a measurement taken in different conditions.

Celebrity heights may vary between sources, and character heights may vary between editions. Check original references when citing them. Family templates are editable examples, not growth standards.

FAQ

Height comparison questions

What the chart shows, what gets saved and what you share.

Does this calculator predict how tall I will be?

It compares heights you enter or select. It does not predict adult height or assess growth. For a family-height reference, use the separate Height Calculator and read its method and limits.

How accurate is the 3D height comparison?

All entries use one height scale, based on the entered measurements. Models are stylized and conversions are rounded for display. Use the numerical values and scale for height; the figures do not reproduce individual body proportions.

How many people can I compare at once?

Up to 12 entries, including custom people and library references. Use zoom or fit the chart for a larger group, and choose the baseline in the list.

Why can’t I see the 3D figures on my device?

3D rendering needs WebGL. Try a current browser with hardware acceleration enabled. If the browser or device does not support WebGL, the figures may not render.

Is it free, and will my comparison be saved?

The comparison, PNG download and sharing are free, with no account required. Your lineup is normally saved in this browser. Clearing browser data removes it; private browsing or storage restrictions can prevent saving. Keep a share link to continue on another device.

What information is in a share link?

The link contains the comparison's names and heights. Anyone with it can read those details and edit their own version. Share only information you intend to disclose; use a PNG if you prefer to send a fixed image.

What is included in the downloaded PNG?

The PNG contains the chart, names, comparison results and HeightCalculator.run branding. Choose light, dark or transparent in the preview. The transparency checkerboard is not included in the saved image.
