Privacy Policy
Public calculators and measurement data
The public height tools calculate in your browser without requiring an account. Photos selected in Image to Height stay in your browser. Measurement history is off by default; when enabled, only measurements you choose to save are stored on this device. You can delete individual records, clear all records or disable history to remove them.
A comparison link contains the names and heights you choose to share. Anyone with that link can view them. Measurement handoffs between tools use a URL fragment; this fragment is not sent to the server.
Optional first-party analytics require your consent and respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. They record only performance metrics, fixed operation names, the tool, language and device category. They exclude measurement values, dates, names, photos and full page or sharing URLs. You can withdraw consent in Cookie Preferences on the Privacy Policy page when available. Our analytics endpoint rejects additional data fields and sends no Referer. Hosting providers may separately process IP addresses and ordinary request metadata to operate and secure the site.
Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how HeightCalculator.run (“we”, “our”, or “the site”) handles information when you use the 3D height comparison homepage, the Tools & Calculators pages, the Resource Guide, optional account features, and related services. By using the site, you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
1. Information you choose to provide
Most public tools work without an account. Depending on what you use, you may provide:
- Heights, names, ages, sexes or other measurement inputs you type into comparison and calculator tools
- Photos you select locally in Image to Height (processed in your browser for estimation; they are not treated as a public gallery)
- Account details such as email address and profile information if you sign in
- Contact details and message content if you email us
- An email address and preferences if you subscribe to updates
2. Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, hosting and security systems may process ordinary request data, such as:
- IP address, browser type, operating system, and approximate request metadata
- Pages requested, timestamps, and basic interaction or referral information needed to operate the site
- Cookies or similar technologies, when enabled for authentication, preferences, analytics, or advertising as described below
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide the height comparison studio, calculators, Resource Guide, and optional account area
- Remember preferences you set, such as language, cookie choices, or optional on-device measurement history
- Operate, secure, and troubleshoot the website
- Understand aggregated usage and improve features
- Respond to contact requests and send updates you opted into
- Display advertisements when advertising integrations are enabled
Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only when needed to:
- Run infrastructure and service providers that host the site, deliver email, store account or operational files, or support authentication
- Comply with law, protect rights and safety, or respond to valid legal requests
- Show ads or measure traffic through configured third-party analytics or advertising partners
Storage and Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate for a public web service, including encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS). No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. Public tools are designed so calculations and many measurement inputs stay in your browser unless you choose to share a link, enable on-device history, create an account, or contact us.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, or to request a portable copy of information you provided. You can also:
- Use public tools without creating an account
- Clear browser data, disable optional measurement history, or delete saved local records
- Withdraw optional analytics consent in the Cookie Preferences section below when available
- Manage cookies in your browser and, when available, in the Cookie Preferences section below
- Unsubscribe from emails using the link in those messages
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies and similar technologies help the site remember settings, keep you signed in when accounts are used, and—if enabled—support analytics or advertising.
Depending on configuration, cookie categories may include:
- Necessary cookies for basic functionality, including authentication and session management when accounts are used
- Analytics cookies that help us understand how visitors use the site
- Advertising cookies used to display ads when advertising is enabled
- Performance cookies that help analyze site reliability
You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect sign-in or preference features.
Google AdSense Advertising (If Enabled)
We may introduce Google AdSense to help support the free tools. If enabled, Google and its partners may collect information such as browser and device details, IP address, and ad interactions to deliver and measure ads.
Third parties, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on previous visits to this or other websites. Google's advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to personalize ads based on those visits. Keeping tool calculations in your browser does not mean that advertising providers receive no browsing or device information.
If we enable AdSense, we will provide consent and privacy choices where required. You can learn about Google's advertising data practices and turn off personalized advertising through the links below.
Children’s Privacy
The site is a general-audience measurement and comparison service. It is not directed at children under 13 as account holders, and we do not knowingly collect account personal information from children under 13. Growth and baby-length tools may accept measurements entered by a parent or caregiver for educational comparison with published reference charts; those tools do not replace clinical care. If you believe a child under 13 has provided account personal information, contact us and we will delete it where appropriate.
International Data Transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than your own when hosting, email, authentication, analytics, or advertising providers operate globally. We take steps appropriate to the services we use to protect personal information during such transfers.
Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page. Please review it periodically.
